With yearly performances for over 1,200 attendees, the Brecksville Broadview Heights Community Chorus is under the expert direction of Joy Parker.
Joy is a passionate believer that music is for everyone, and she looks forward to welcoming you in whatever way you would like to participate with the Brecksville Broadview Heights Community Chorus.

Joy is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University and The Cleveland Institute of Music. She holds a B.S. in Music Education as well as a Masters of Arts in Theology and Religious Studies from John Carroll University, 2015.
Joy is well known throughout the Northern Ohio performing arts and academic communities and taught several years of high school choir, show choir and marching band. Joy is in her sixth year as the Director of Music Ministry at Brecksville United Methodist Church, having previously served a number of years at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Hudson and at Fairmount Presbyterian Church in Cleveland Heights. She is president of the Northeast Ohio Chapter of Chorister’s Guild and serves on the Executive Board of the Akron Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Joy also directs the Brecksville Center for the Arts Community Youth Chorus. She has a lengthy background in Music Theatre, both on and off the stage; she has done numerous musicals at Case, with a number of area high schools and community theaters, and most recently music directed The Music Man for the city of Brecksville and Annie for Brecksville Theatre on the Square.
